REMINDER: Alumnae Afternoon Tea - Saturday 17th September 2016 – Donations and help needed!

One of the celebrations to mark the School's 50th birthday is an Alumnae Afternoon Tea on Saturday 17th September 2016. Plans are in place to organise this event and your help is very much needed.

We would like to ask every Beaconsfield High School student to source a tea cup and saucer, a side plate or a milk jug to use on the day to create a fabulous vintage look. We don't expect you to buy 'new'; in fact a particularly good place to find inexpensive crockery is at Charity Shops and often the older pieces are daintier and more attractive than current ones. As an incentive for this initiative, 10 house points will be awarded to pupils who provide either or both of the above mentioned items (so be sure to include your name when you drop off your contribution!). In addition, there will a prize for the class who contributes the most overall. We will be collecting donations this week commencing Monday 4th July - please bring them to the tables outside Mrs Smith’s office.

We would also like some student volunteers to waitress/ gives tours/ help out on the day in return for even more house points! If you are interested, please email Mrs Cottman on cottma-p@beaconsfieldhigh.bucks.sch.uk

Please do help us make this experience a valuable and enjoyable one by working together to provide the props for a vintage tea party worthy of Beaconsfield High School pupils, old and new!

Thank you in anticipation.

YEARS 7-10

There are a number of students who have been given Intervention sheets to complete, but they have not been done!

Whilst we are aware that end of year exams are now over, it is really important that those small knowledge gaps you have are filled before September.

Please do NOT remove the sheets and take them away. They should be completed any lunchtime in D304 and handed either to a peer tutor or a maths teacher.

We have noticed a significant improvement in results following this intervention programme and it will be carried on into next year.
